Successful Remote Interviewing

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has a significant impact on our meeting culture. This also applies to interview situations, including those for PhD studentships, research fellowships and NHS and academic appointments. Early career researchers are particularly affected by this and face the unusual situation of online interviews and remote panel meetings.

The Association of Physicians delivered a webinar on Successful Remote Interviewing on 30th June 2020. This interactive event focused on three key points of successful interviewing: beginning strongly; excelling throughout; and finishing well. The webinar addressed techniques that will also help in conventional interviews and highlighted the specific challenges and opportunities of remote interviews.

The Panel:

Bob Bannister, Founder & Lead iManage Performance

Professor Christian Delles, Honorary Secretary, Association of Physicians of GB & Ireland and Professor and Consultant Physician @The Institute for Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, University of Glasgow

Dr Rachel Myles, Executive Committee Member, Association of Physicians of GB & Ireland and Clinical Senior Lecturer, Cardiology @The Institute for Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, University of Glasgow

This Webinar was been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 1 category 1 (external) CPD credit.

The Association would like to thank Bob Bannister Founder and Lead Consultant at iManage Performance Ltd for delivering the session.
